Why I created this site

A member of my team has just been promoted (hooray for them) however, it means that I now have a vacancy to fill, which is a Civil Service nightmare.

The last time I had a vacancy to fill, I had 180 applicants – well 182 actually- for an EO post.

While that might seem like an overwhelming number – and it should do, the thing that might be more shocking is that only 24 people met the pass mark. That’s a 13% pass mark, and it is the thought of reading the 87% that don’t meet the pass mark that fill me with dread.

So instead of just being filled with dread – I’m starting this website to channel some of that energy instead.
